My application was approved for the 2018-2019 school year- but I wanted to know how long the process might take to be hired. I was hired as a sub in Korea but haven't been called yet for an interview as a teacher. Since they picked me up as a sub for the coming year, will they not choose me as a teacher this year ?

Thanks for any guidance!

haha No problem. You might want to contact the principal(s) who are supposed to interviewing and ask them directly if there are (or they are anticipating) any actual openings for your qualification areas. If you get an answer that might make your decision a bit easier.
