I received my tentative offer on May 4th, sent an e-mail with my in-processing packet on May 7th, and sent an e-mail with my travel order packet on May 14th. I will be sending my official passport information in today. I believe that EQIP is one of the final tasks to complete before an official offer can be sent, and I wanted to know how long that takes? What is the typical timeline for hearing back once you've sent in all documents? I'm trying to be as patient as possible but the waiting process is a challenge!

Gina I've been cheking with my HR about every 10 days and it's the same update for me. I emailed the principal and assistant principal this week just to update them and in hopes that they might inquire on their end what is taking so long.

Mrs.C You guys are the only reason I haven't lost my mind completely! I keep getting the same response: Be patient with this new process, don't worry your stuff is submitted, there is nothing else to do, you'll hear about it when they contact you. I'm just worried about how long it will take AFTER they finally contact me. I'm already feeling like I won't...See More

It shouldn't take this long to send an email. The background check itself should be the longest part. I don't think any of us will start on time nor do they want us to start on time. This process needs to hurry up

haha I understand your frustration but equating bureaucratic incompetence/institutional neglect with intentional maliciousness will make your time working for the government even more frustrating and miserable then it needs to be. Once you are in place and settled this will (hopefully) seem like a minor/one time set back. Hang in there

@haha: I'm a Veteran and know this incompetence all too well. It shouldn't take this long to send an email for EQIP. The security manager should also respond to emails from those waiting

@Leo: I'm going to Japan.
