I was just wondering if any of you are overseas local hires for next school year? I doubt the process is very different and I think I'm moving through the gates at a steady pace. The only issue I run into is the time difference and things aren't open very much where we are...i.e. fingerprints is open 2 days a week for only a few hours or people go on vacation without replacements. At this point I think I am waiting on my E-QIP email to come next.

Mrs.C I think this is one of those "who knows" kind of situations. I have spoken with the school secretary and the school principal and both of them have given me the impression that it is the same hiring pool and the same E-QIP process that they go through for both local and outside applicants. Maybe HR is prioritizing things on their end differently? I...See More

Yes, it is the same EAS and HR pulls locals first with Vet preference, then locals with spouse, then locals with family member, then OCONUS with Vet, etc. However, wit...See More

Mrs.C @Mary... my HR rep is in Virginia which is 1/2 way around the world. Is E-QIP done locally? Obviously, I haven't gotten that far in the process but I was given the impression the "security team" that is initiating my E-QIP is also in Virginia.

HelpOthers When I was stateside, the HR person I needed to work with for the position I accepted, was in the location I was going, not in VA. You may want to double check. If their address ends with eu.dodea.edu, they are in Europe. If it ends with pac.dodea.edu, they are in the Pacific and if am.dodea.edu or hq.dodea.edu, they are in the states. hq.dodea.edu...See More
