Sooo...I'm still in limbo, waiting for an e-mail about starting EQIP. When I received my tentative offer for a position in Japan, the message stated to not resign from my current job until I have the final offer. I work with a school district, and the new school year starts on July 25th (3 weeks from now). I was hoping that I'd be able to put in my notice within a reasonable amount of time before the next school year but there's a possibility that it may not happen. In the event that I do not hear about EQIP within the next few weeks, I'll be starting school knowing that I won't be there for the entire year. I unfortunately don't have the luxury of not working at all for more than a month, and ruled out putting in a notice now before I received the firm offer.

Has anyone been put in this situation? If so, how soon did you put in your notice once you received a firm offer?

Also, once the EQIP email comes, how long does it take for it to process and for you to receive ...See More
