IMO, There are several impediments that make the ISS positions less than desirable if you are already in a location that you like/can stand in DoDDS. I've always thought that the job of most ISS positions sound horrible, even on paper. In reality they don't sound much better. In most cases I'd be bored out of my mind and miss interacting with students (and dealing with fellow educators is not always the best part of working in education :s).
