Does DODEA drug test you when they hire you?
I teach in CA and I legally partook temporarily and am just wondering if I need to flush my system. I would never participate in drug activity while working for DODEA as I know they are strict on that as current employees and it is not something I do often.
I just don't want a mistake to get in the way of this job!

I applied and was hired in 2013, 2017, and 2018. Never once was I asked for a drug test. When I went in for my most recent screener, the doctor asked if I was alive. I said yes. He signed the paperwork and I left. 5 minutes total. This was at an Army hospital.

I spoke to someone in an Admin position much higher up the ladder. They didn't want to discuss the issue directly (they never want to discuss any issue directly) but I was left with the impression that they understand that many teachers have glaucoma, or anxiety issues. And they hire teachers from Colorado all the time.

Dude, smoke as much as you want. Just be low key about it. DoDEA never piss tests, and I personally know of plenty of teachers in Europe that smoke on the reg.
