Hello I was just referred to a position available by applying to it at a Dodea School as an Educational Aide. I'm actually a sub teacher at the same school.

I have several questions:

1. My salary as sub is higher that the announcement offer as Educational aide. May I negotiate my salary to be like my hourly pay as a subteacher actually?

2. May I apply for a teacher position given the opportunity or vacant after I accept the Educational Aide position?

3. Will it be a good thing to accept this job now , to work my way in as a teacher? There are not available teacher vacant as of today .

4. What is AD 00 excerpts partime permanent 70hours per pay day? Is It 140 hrs a month? If yes , It looks to me like regular school hours, not partime.

If anyone can explain any or all my questions I will appreciated. Particulary you Haha. Thank you in advance.

haha Oh, got it. My understanding is that paraprofessionals do not get paid for school breaks and summer vacation. They do get a certain number of sick and holiday days every year.
