What's the longest you've waited to hear back on whether or not you got the job after the interview? I interviewed 2 years ago and never heard back afterwards, so I'm pretty sure I didn't get that job, lol! I contacted HR who told me to contact the interviewer who never responded to my messages. I still want to work for DODEA, just hoping not to have this experience again.

haha Agree that it ranges from 24 hours to weeks/a month. Around a week or so seems fairly typical. Also agree that sadly, they are not good about letting the unsuccessful candidates know they did not get the job.

Cmc I interviewed last year for a local hire position. I was not selected and never received notification. I found out because we live in a small community and I heard who was selected through the grapevive. I hope that's not the case for you.

HelpOthers If you are not their first choice, they wait until the first choice person is in place sometimes before sending the "not chosen" e-mail. This way, if the person declines or backs out, they can go to the next person on the list.
