Hello Everyone,

I was looking to see if anyone knew about School Nurse positions with the DODEA.

I actually previously worked overseas for the DOD in Germany and would love to go back to Europe. I have been a nurse for 15 years and lots of experience working with children/adolescents. I am currently a nurse educator but would love to work overseas again.

I just applied through the DODEA site. My application is good to go. If anyone knows of any openings overseas/ information about the application process I would so appreciate it :-)

Thanks!

Sandra09 I actually just received a referral for a Marine base in Japan! So fingers crossed. Does anyone know how the interview process goes? From what I understand they send an email and then you need to reply within 24 hours to accept the interview.

haha Nice! For teachers you might get an email or just a phone call for an interview right then and there. They may wait or the may just move on. There was no 24 hour response procedure last I heard (for teachers, can't say if nurses are different).

Bottom line, be ready, answer your phone.

Sandra09 oh wow! Thanks for the heads up! So for teachers they can just call for an interview without any notice. It most likely would be the same for nurses. So what Im hearing is pick up the phone especially for any international numbers. Any tips you can recommend?

HelpOthers It may not look like an international number. Just answer all calls. Do not include any phone numbers you cannot answer (like a home phone).

Cmc Sandra, when I interviewed I did not receive an email. I received a call from the school requesting to set up an interview. Good luck!
