Target Job Section

In the Target Job Section they ask, Have you performed the duties of this job within the last 5 years? If I have taught in the last five years is it a universal yes? I have been a teacher within the last five years, but I only taught 8th grade social studies and 6th grade science. So, do I mark no for grades 1, 2, and 3? My state certification is K-8 all subjects. I have taught middle school, Title 1, and I am currently a principal.

haha Take a look at your transcripts. Your ES degree likely had at least one class that would qualify as EC. If your MS endorsement in SS is on par with a certification in SS, that would reduce the required hours. oldshack I have looked through my transcripts but nothing specifically mentions EC, I wonder if the HR crew at DODEA will just know which one fits. I definitely took courses that discussed EC, one is labeled Development, Cognition, Unstd. Another is exceptional students P-Grade 6. I feel like that is my only hope for elementary on my current transcript. My ...See More

haha Thanks, anyways, but it's basically a hobby at this point. Strangely, I do feel compelled to respond. I do try to refrain if someone else has basically answered the question and I have nothing to add, just so I'm not posting on literally EVERY thread.

oldshack here is the wording for secondary technology teacher, "A major in industrial technology or industrial arts, or a minimum of 30 SH in technology education or industrial arts is required. haha Possibly. When in doubt, ask HR.

I"d be interested in seeing how many schools are offering classes taught by a Secondary Technology teacher. It sounds like the Design class we had at my school in Europe but do not offer at my school in Japan.
