I am currently a DoDEA teacher, but was wanting a change in location that was closer to where I live. I recently had a phone interview for a position at a school located on the base where I live. The interview was very typical. Same 10 questions, however when I answered the questions I asked the interviewers if they preferred my answer to be geared towards virtual teaching or traditional classroom. They said either one was fine. I really wanted to showcase my ability to be flexible and how I worked well under pressure. I didn't get a feel for if they were impressed or just going through the motions b/c they already have chosen someone. The interview lasted about 40 minutes or so. Did I sabotage myself? And would they choose someone already local over conus? I didn't think I would be this anxious... Any ideas?

Icanread It's my understanding and experience that if you are a continuing (permanent) DoDEA teacher who interviews for a position, internal candidates are considered and interviewed before the position is opened to local applicants and then CONUS applicants. I don't think your location would make a difference, and I think a 40-minute interview is a good th...See More
