Has anyone ever heard of a teacher's spouse getting a work visa in an overseas location while the teacher works with DODEA? There is a possibility that this would be the only way the spouse could earn an income, if there was no position available on base. I wasn't sure what the rules are for a spouse as far as earning an income overseas. Thanks!

scribblesandink Have you any knowledge of what job possibilities there are in the UK for a spouse? What is the sofa agreement for spouses in England?

IsItFriday? The spouse job situation is never good. Qualifications cannot be transferred easily, and/or are not recognized.

And the base job situation is straight out of the '50s, with many base jobs offering pay and conditions on the assumption that the position will be filled by a housewife, and not a modern woman who has a career, and fills an equa...See More
