i am wondering if the video i plan to use is ok. it has students in several learning situations. 3 groups are playing a card game where they are each finding the mean of a set of cards. Each group is tiered, meaning they are working on a different division skill (rounding to whole number, turning remaimders into decimals, and the other group practicing larger numbers. A fourth group is with me using Skittles to find the mean of each color. The goal here is to practice division and fimding mean. The high group is on their own watching a screencast i made that explains how to find the missing value when given the mean. All are on task, and engaged. The question I am concerned about is that 3 groups are playing a game, another is watching a video lesson, and the fifth is with me as i coach them through the activity, giving feedback as needed at the table. i get up and walk around and check in several tomes with each group and student, amd all are okay and I give some feedback, bit nobody ...See More
