I am temporarily living in a home where there are three
other adults. I am the only one online BUT two of the
others don't have their own phones and "hog" the house
phone all the time. I don't have a phone hookup in my
bedroom. I ran a phone cable from the kitchen to my
bedroom. It works fine when I am online.

My question is this:

When I am not online, must I pull the connection out of the
three "prong" thing plugged in at the kitchen? My roomies
say they can't use the phone if it is "plugged" in. When I
lived by myself, I had the connection hooked up all the
time BUT if I was not signed on, I could use my phone in
the kitchen where it was hooked with. I don't get it. IF I
am right, can yu direct me to an online answer for it so I
can print and show them? If I am wrong, then I will know.
None of the other roomies have a computer or know anything
about them.

Thank you!
