Once more, i have another computer -- this time I got it
from Freecycle. It is an older iMac with OS 9.1 and has 512
MB of memory, The largest unused block is 435.3 and i want
to know if i can put OS10 on it? the reason I am asking is
I can't load AOL on it even tho I have an older disk they
told me to use. I am pretty sure I could get AOL for my
iMac OS10 then.

I bought the OS 10 program when I updated my older computer
that had OS09 on it and have heard that I can legally use
it on 2 of my own computers. I also have the free update
for teachers using OS10 somewhere. . . Should I just go
ahead and update it to OS10 so that would solve my AOL
problems? I know the former owner used AOL as their
internet provider. . .but they deleted a lot of stuff off
the computer.

The main reason I want to get on the internet on that
computer is to access Apple to find out what to do to

That computer should have an internal modem for phone line,
and an ethernet port for broadband.

Under the Apple look for "Apple System Profiler" it will open
with tabs across the top that can tell you the hardware details.

A model # would get you to the manual...See More
