I have a G4 mac, 10.4 system, 512 MB SDRAM. Hubby is
retiring at the end of the year and wants to get a laptop
and along with his new toy he wants to go with wireless
cable internet provider. Is there a cheap way for me to
"make" my computer wireless compatible since it still works
for me, or is it time to go shopping? I've looked at
AfterMac and the usb adaptors. Thanks for your help.

AFAIK you have no need to worry or change computers.

You machine can use Ethernet from a wireless router (which
he'll need to get a wireless connection).

As long as your machine still does what you want it to do, no
need to upgrade.
