I have the very latest -- snow leopard now. I got it set up with the disks that came with it. NOW I can't get aol installed. I got a free disk from the post office. I tried using it but it doesn't allow me to install aol. It said I needed to put in the OS10 installation disk and open Optional install folder. Then double click on OPTIONAL installs. I did that. Nothing happens.

I removed the OS10 disk and put in the aol CD and the icon appears but it never lets me do anything. I have managed to keep the icon in the dock now but it is no help. Do you understand what I am saying?

Here I thought I would have it up and ready to go for Christmas instead of using my 8 year old computer.

I appreciate your help on this. Thank you in advance.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Paulie
Neal AFAIK you want/need AOL® Desktop for Mac 1.5.

If your old machine was working reconnect it to download AOL® Desktop for Mac 1.5see link below.

It's 12+MB so if you have a jump/thumb/keychain drive it should fit, or burn it to a CD or use Target Mode to transfer it to your new box and run it.

Good Luck, N.

Paulie The jokes on me -- there is no modem in the new iMac computers. . . I had to buy a modem from Amazon. . . why do they do this -- some of us still use dial up. No one told me at the apple store. Modem should be here tomkorrow or Friday.
