In my school, counselors manage every I & RS case referred. So far, I have 17 cases on file which I have coordinated all inyerventions and scheduled all follow up meetings. Many times, teachers are using I & RS to cover their @@@@@@ and just go through the motions without actively taking part. The perception is that guidance should do 90% of the work This has taken up 70 % of my time and has left little time for counseling and proactive developmental work in my school.

My question to all counselors is: Shouldn't the I & RS case manager role be rotated amongst all stakeholders? so that everyone has a share in the I & RS committee?

Or do we just suck it up and make it look good?

Your responses are appreciated
