I work in a K-3 elementary school. Recently there have been some bullying issues in 2nd grade so I've been doing a series of lessons on how to deal with bullies. A teacher shared with me that she thought some of her students are afraid to speak up when they are bullied. What are your thoughts on bully boxes? Good idea? Bad idea? I was thinking of placing a bully box in each second grade class for kids to report bullying they see going on. Also wanted to leave one right outside my office. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

The NO bullying box idea came from the fact that some of the teachers felt as though c...See More

vet counselor I'd have more questions that anyone might want to answer. First, if the kids are dropping anonymous notes in a box, how does that free you up to act and follow through? My parents would go Crazy if I was acting on anonymous notes written by the children. The parents of bullies would want to know who the accuser is.

I can say to a parent "I...See More
