Hello, I just finished my second year teaching at the high school level. I'm ready to start working towards a masters to increase my knowledge and move up on the salary schedule. However, UC Santa Barbara has closed their program. My local university only offers traditional programs and I would like to have an MA in French in case I ever get the chance to teach a class at a community college.

Middlebury is the only program I have found, but I just don't think it will work for me. It's a great program, but very expensive and very far from where I live. I was just wondering if anyone else had some suggestions. Thanks for your help.

Karine Bennington College has a MATSL program worth looking into. It's also in VT so far away but they have students come from all across the country for their program.

madame sans merci Check out Eastern Washington University. You can get your M.Ed in French over 3 summers - two in Nice, France and 1 in Washington.

Maureen Hi James,

I didn't see your response. I thought you might be the person on this chatboard that might know the most about the program. Thanks for any suggestions.
