Traditionally, Google's SafeSearch engine has a default setting of "Medium Security" which can be changed to a more strict filter setting. The problem is, any user (including your kids) and lower the setting or take it off completely.

Now, Google has implemented the ability for anyone (parents or teachers) with a Google account (i.e.: gmail or blogger) to log in and "LOCK" the safe search setting to the maximum level (strict filtering).

The great thing about this setting is that the filtering cannot be deactivated without logging into the Google account user that first locked it. I found a video of how to go it at [link removed]
