My team and I have to work with a teacher who is dishonest. He will throw us under the bus if it will make him look better in the eyes of Admin. He gossips about other teachers, he believes that he was a major factor in our school making academic improvements over the past year, goes on and on about the amount of hours and work he puts into the students of his classroom, how they couldn't so much as add before they became his students, etc. So, he will be back this year and we have to work with him once again. I am trying to shift my mind to complete focus on my students and sharing of ideas with my team, however I am not comfortable sharing with him b/c, well, what will he do with the info? I need some advice on how to work with someone like this. I am not leaving, he isn't leaving and I've got to be able to look this gentleman in the eye and engage during our meetings/planning sessions.
