Hello all! I have a challenge for you. For my holiday program, each class has a different continent, assigned by the principal, which goes along with our building-wide theme Reading Around the World. My 4th graders have Africa. They are strong singers and pretty good recorder players. I would love to do something with them that represents an African country and uses recorders. I have 17 kids, so I think no more than 3 things going on at once as far as singing, recorders, and movement. So... brilliant ideas? Go! Thanks for your help!
Charlotte What about African Noel? I think it would be simple enough to accommodate recorders, and you could add in some nice percussion, too! If your kids are up for it, they might even be able to play it in canon.
