I'm ordering new safety goggles for next year, but considering ordering safety glasses instead.

I don't like the goggles, they don't fit right, they fog up, and the straps never last very long. And the kids hate them because of the reasons stated.

I worked in industry and we wore safety glasses, much more comfortable, lighter, didn't fog, and fit like normal glasses.

Just wondering if anyone out there uses safety glasses instead of goggles in a high school lab. I think the kids will be more likely to keep them on their eyes.

AW We did this in middle school because we had the same problems. Glasses were well received.

Nan I think it depends on your purpose and what types of chemicals you use. Goggles are called splash goggles because if something splashes you in the face, it won't slide down your forehead and into your eyes. You do not have the same protection with safety glasses.
