We are reviewing textbooks for adoption for the 2018-2019 school year. We currently use Realidades. We don't like Realidades because we can't get through any of the books in one year. We are looking for something that challenges the first year learner (more than just the basics & present tense) without overwhelming them and that throughout the levels focuses on communication and culture. We have the following series to review, but so far have not been very impressed by any of them.

-Exploremos (National Geographic)

-Descubre

-Asi se dice

-Avancemos

Thank you in advance for your help!
Daniel Hanson Have you taken a look at Senderos? It's the new edition of Descubre, but with less chapters (6 instead of 9 or 10-- much more manageable for high school classes now).

I also am from a very small town and we have internet issues and few students have wifi so I have to consider a strong workbook. I looked at the videos for Avancemos and Asi se dice and the quality for A...See More

Maura We have used Asi Se Dice for 7 years. We are generally pleased with levels 1-3. Level four has a much different format and is fairly dense We no longer use it for our college prep classes. Also, the online resources are not available for our French colleagues Finally the customer support was mediocre.
