I'm currently working with children with severe special needs while studying to get my masters. Unfortunately, I've hit a rock wall because the school won't allow me to enter practicum without passing my MTELS (general, math,reading and writing). I was wondering if anyone knows if this is a state requirement or not? I'm also teaching abroad so flying back home just to take the mtels is difficult and will put me behind when I return to the states and still have to pass my mtels to enter practicum.
haha I don't know anything in particular about those state requirements.

But, are you teaching overseas near any DoDDS bases? If so (and you have/can get access), you might be able to take the tests on the computer system at the base/post education center.
