It takes me about 4-5 hours if the student has 4 goals. I'm using the impact system in Chicago. I'm pretty experienced (5 years). Is this normal?

LB Don't write so many goals. Be realistic about what you have time to work on and what the student needs the most. I see that my students have many needs too. AM I have used the handle AM here for over a decade. Perhaps you could come up with a different handle so people know who you are. Thank you.

Michelle When I worked in virtual education it only took 2 hours tops, but we were asked not to write many goals. In my current district it takes about 6-8 hours to write an IEP. I teach high school self-contained intellectual disabilities and we have to have a minimum of 3 goals in six different areas plus 4 annual goals for the main areas of the transitio...See More
