Lately, the new rage and buzz in classrooms of all grades is the new interactive Smartboard. My question to the teachers out there is do you feel that the money put into a Smartboard is worth it? Or do you feel that using a normal projector and white board would be more effective and allow for other funding purposes, for student materials or school improvements? Do you feel that Smartboards contribute to easier and more efficient learning or teaching? Or is this an overload of technology? I appreciate any and all feedback!!!

Teri The first and most obvious advantage is that with the Smartboard, the students get to get up and INTERACT with what's being projected. In addition, whatever the students do on the Smartboard, comments they write, etc. can be saved so you can access it again.

I am beginning to record my lessons (using the built in record function) so kids who need to see the lesson again can do so and kids who are away can see the lesso...See More
