Hi Aimee,
I have asked you about my male betta D.J. before. He once
had a bacteria that you had me treat with Maracyn and he
never eats much. He also had a gold spot that I thought
might be Velvet. You said it was ok. But today I noticed
that the spot looks bigger than normal, like maybe it is
swollen. Should I be concered? Thanks!

You could treat it with some maracyn 2-- not plain maracyn. It won't hurt to
treat it, just keep the water clean (change it every other day or every 3 days) and
treat for a week.
