TEACHERS.NET ANNOUNCES ON-LINE LANGUAGE CENTER
SAN DIEGO, CA -- Teachers.Net today announced the release of the Teachers.Net Language Center, http://teachers.net/languages/. The Language Center is the Internet resource and network center for teachers of foreign languages. Teachers from every country now have 24 hour access to instant translation and grammar tools, language chatboards, meeting rooms and scheduled chats.
The Language Center features Teachers.Net's orignal ESL/EFL Chatboard, along with the new Spanish Teachers and French Teachers chatboard. These newest chatboards bring the total number of teacher chatboards to 45. This extensive chatboard network is accessed daily by thousands of teachers across the globe, making Teachers.Net the most active and complete teacher resource on the planet.
In addition to the web forums, the Language Center offers monthly real-time chat sessions for teachers of French and Spanish. Teachers may participate in any language chat, without cost, by simply "tuning in" and joining the chat. Teachers can discuss teaching methods and issues, or simply network and converse in languages other than English. The complete list of upcoming language chats is included at http://teachers.net/chat/meetings.html .
"As more cultures and countries become exposed to the Internet, the opportunity for enriching the on-line educational community increases," says Bob Reap, Co-Director of Teachers.Net. "We hope that by providing these language resources we might in some way speed the progress of education throughout the world."
