2500 PreK-12 Lessons Available Online at Teachers.Net
SAN DIEGO, CA -- The Teachers.Net Lessons Bank (http://teachers.net/lessons) recently topped 2500 lessons and activities, with new entries arriving daily, assisting teachers of every grade level and subject area. The lessons collection is served up in an easy to use, searchable database format.
Preschool through secondary level teachers can browse by grade level or enter a topic in the search form to access an array of practical and teacher-tested lessons and activities. Recent entries include songs to build reading skills, activities for a study of Africa's climatic regions, a Kodaly beat lesson, and directions for creating an edible map, with additional lessons deposited daily.
Another unique feature of the Teachers.Net lessons section is the lesson plan request form, a convenient way to request lesson plans and activities related to specific topics. Teachers who need lessons in addition to those already available in the Lessons Bank can click over to the Lesson Request Board to fill in a simple form stating the topic of interest, then sit back and receive assistance by e-mail from some of the tens of thousands of educators who visit Teachers.Net each week.
Teachers.Net was established in 1996 and has expanded steadily to include the Lessons Bank, 123 chatboards, around the clock live chat, scheduled chat meetings (often featuring experts in the field of education and archived for instant reference), dozens of e-mail discussion groups ("mailrings"), a jobs section, and the popular online magazine, The Teachers.Net Gazette.
