I'm treating myself to a "spa day". I've managed to soak in
a warm tub, smear lotions and potions on my dry skin (pool
water and winter cold does terrible things), wrap in warm,
soft clothes, knit, and sit in the sun that is shining
through our family room window.
The temp today is 2 but the windchill makes it feel quite a
bit colder (-24 earlier today). I might consider a walk
later this afternoon IF it stays sunny, the wind calms and
it isn't too slippery. We had a light snow and it hides all
the ice patches.
Now, it seems that January is not a very popular month with
retirees. I do have one positive to point out---the sunrise
is starting earlier!!!!!!!!!! On Monday's car ride to water
exercise, I saw a slight pink glow in the eastern sky!
Morning is coming sooner!!!! Days are getting longer!
Enjoy the day, we can get to better days one sunrise at a
time.
