Who can explain dreams and nightmares? I have been retired
for 7 years now and still occasionally something like that will
pop up. Sometimes they are pleasant too. We spent a huge
part of our lives teaching and your mind doesn't just quit it cold
turkey. When that happens, I wake up and realize, it was just
a dream and thankfully that's all it is.
Also, you won't feel completely retired until those big yellow
buses start rolling again when the school year starts. Celebrate
that time. Celebrate when you see those Back to School signs
that appear after July 4th. You can relax and enjoy now.
You can't control what you dream, but you can control your
waking moments.
Congratulations to you and may you enjoy your retirement to
the fullest.
