Today is the first day of school and it rained buckets this
morning. I'm so glad I didn't have to get up early and
navigate through school zones and the rain.

I woke up at 4:30 and couldn't fall back to sleep. This is
what always happened the first day of school and I would be
so sleepy by lunch. Not a problem today, because I am NOT
in school!!!!

My AC went out on Friday and the AC tech came out that
evening. The problem was in the compressor outside but
since it was raining, he couldn't check the power without
endangering his life. No worries. He came back this
morning and I didn't have to take a day off. We were able
to survive this weekend with additional fans and open
windows. Because of the rain, the temps were in the 80s
and not the usual 95-100+ degrees of our Texas summers.

I think I'm going to enjoy retirement!
