For anyone within a couple of hours drive or so, The McHenry Mansion in
Modesto is well worth seeing. I love Victorian houses and this one was beautiful.
The decorations and furnishings made a person feel like he/she was in the
1800's. The docents were dressed accordingly. Lovely! After that we visited
Duarte's Pointsettia Farm. Gorgeous. I never knew there were so many varieties.
It was a very nice day. If you have any other holiday events to recommend, it
would be fun to hear.
