Does anyone know where I can find more information about the possible changes to Georgia's TRS? I've heard there are some negative things in the pipeline.

After getting frustrated with the dismissal process at my kid's school, I set out to modernize the system so parents have more control and flexibility, and to also quiet the end of day so teacher's don't pull their hair out!

I'm wanting to become a history teacher and would like to know the best way to go about getting what degree. I'm not sure if I need an BA in education with a minor in history or a BA in history with some education course. I know I have to become licensed I believe to teach.

I got my BA in History and then did a one year MAT program which garnered me a T5 cert for 6th-12th grade. The one year MAT was crazy and I couldn't have worked while doing it but if you can tough it out it's worth it. Good luck!
The facility is called: IN DEFENSE: AN AMERICAN LEGACY/THE TUSKEGEE EXPERIENCE
I have several education programs to teach my primary focus: History.
I am seeking a partner (preferably- a retired military officer) with a passion for history.
My facility is a beautiful mini-museum of World War II artifacts from the countries in which The Tuskegee Airmen fought for our country. The facility is also serving as a lounge for military and non-military clientele. It is called: CALL TO DUTY. My daughter: Queen Oni, is an inspirational recording artist of song and spoken word. She is the hostess of the lounge.
You will love the setting!

If you teach for Georgia Virtual School or Georgia Cyber Academy, does that teaching experience count toward your retirement. Do many teachers work for these virtual schools full time?
I can't speak for the others, but Georgia Connections Academy has full-time teachers that pay into TRS just like a public school teacher. GACA is an online, public, K-12 charter school in its 4th year of existence and it's getting bigger and better every year!
It's a great place to work and, as we're growing every year, there are frequently job postings for our school.
Does anyone know if you get back pay for for teaching if you had already finished a degree but the paperwork was not turned in on time before the new year started?

Does anyone know where I can find a study guide for the new GACE tests? I would like to get certified to teach Art or Social Studies. Thank you in advance for your help!
