I have attended two job fairs with the St. Tammany Parish School District. I have a Master's Degree and National Board Certification. Does anyone know if a teacher can be considered an expensive hire? I am puzzled how a teacher just out of college can get the job over someone who has experience teaching a variety of learning styles, interests, differentiates instruction to accommodate the ADD, ADHD, bipolar, learning disabilities, and intellectually gifted all in one room? I have proven my ability to meet national standards and to be recognized as a Master Teachr. Please give me some insight............. Thank you

Degree level, experience, certification level are not factors to not hire someone, in fact the principals do not even know what the teacher's are being paid since the ...See More
