I wonder if we move and want to teach in another county, if the pay will be at the same step rate? My wife is certifed through the state. That should suffice to let her be able to teach. But what about pay? For example, would a Carroll county pay step be honored in Anne Arundel ? Montgomery to Frederick ? Certainly the pay rate will be different but the question is whether you can move freely and keep your service years credit, or if you drop down when moving. Just anting to know how to translate the pay tables one to another. Thanks !
Kathy It depends. I am currently on Step 11, but should be on 14. If I move, I will go in at whatever step they will pay -up to Step 14 However, and this is a big However, my county will only go up to a step 5 for transfers.
