How difficult is it to get a high school STEM position in a Detroit suburb? I don't want to actually teach in Detroit but in one of the suburbs. How hard it is to land a job teaching high school science (physics, math, physical science, or chemistry)? I have various Master degrees in Education... not sure if this is relevant. I also have some experience - 10 years.
it will be hard Metro Detroit is very hard in all subjects. Are you genuinely certified by the State of Michigan in all of those subjects: Physics, Math, and Chem? Khush Is it easier to get a HS science or math position at a private school or public school in southeast MI? I want to teach at a private school. Will I have a hard time finding a job? I am new to MI.
