Hey All, Can anyone tell me what the market is like for special education teachers in SC? I'll have my masters with a focus in Ed Leadership, already a department head and have 5 five years of special education experience. My wife and I are very interested in leaving Maine (we love it, but love the south more) and relocating... Any thoughts on the market? Thanks!

There is a need for special education in all states. I am sure you would not have a problem finding a job here in SC.

Think Twice Think twice before heading to SC. Teachers are poorly paid and have no rights here. There is no union to protect you. Right now we are facing massive budget cuts, increased class sizes, and a general lack of respect for education and educators.

If you are in a good situation, stay put
