    Banana Fritters

    Ingredients:
    ½ cup low fat milk
    2 ripe, mashed bananas
    ½ teaspoon salt
    3 teaspoons baking powder
    2 beaten eggs
    1 tablespoon margarine (melted)
    vegetable oil
    confectioner's sugar

Combine the milk and bananas in a large bowl.

Add the baking powder and salt.

    Stir in eggs and margarine.

Heat the oil in a large skillet to 365 degrees F (180 degrees C).

Gently place spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil.

Fry until brown, turn over and brown on other side.

    Remove fritters from the oil.

    Drain on paper towels.

    Sprinkle fritters with confectioner's sugar.

    Serve while warm.

    Ingredients:
    ½ cup semisweet-chocolate pieces
    ½ cup peanut-butter flavored pieces
    16 large marshmallows
    ¼ cup (1/2 stick) butter
    ½ tsp. vanilla
    2 cups oat ring cereal
    2 cups chow mein noodles
    Small red cinnamon candies
    Chow mein noodles

In large saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate and peanut butter flavored pieces, marshmallows and butter, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in vanilla.

Add cereal and noodles; mix gently but thoroughly.

Working quickly, drop mixture by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper, shaping to resemble spiders.

While spiders are still soft, press two candies on top for eyes and additional noodles around edges for legs.
