testing reading performance
Arthur...excellent site! May I contribute some insights into reading from a researcher's viewpoint: We find that habits both good and bad tend to become consolidated by the age of 9. If the child has acquired a fast but inaccurate guessing habit, then that tends to be consolidated at the expence of the slower but more accurate phonic skills. That then limits them to smaller words and familiar words. The reasons for this can be found at the research team's diagnostic website: www.theharrisontest.com Byron Harrison Byron@theharrisontest.com
