What is being done to recruit more male elementary teachers?
What is being done to recruit more male
elementary school teachers. In 1828 there
were absolutely no FEMALE elementary
school teachers any where. What has
happened. A six grade Africian-American
male student told me that I was the first
man he had ever seen read anything! His own
reading level was almost first grade.
Since his previous elementary school had
only one man, a coach, that child lacked
opportunites to see men read even at home.
LET's recruit and hire more men, elementary
school teachers===about half of a school is
made up of male students and reading is a
successful man's thing to do.
