I did sign up for Elementary schools but
still was assigned to a middle school. I was
luck to have the assignment for long term
because it was a vacant but there was no real
guaranteed to keep that job next year. I feel
as if I am just holding space because a
Spanish language para was need for this
class(mind you the 8th graders spoke read and
understand English) what's hard is some days
there are jobs and other there is not so fill
that space even tho I might not be able to
fill that position next year is i guess
annoying. I would like there to be a better
way to find permanent position during the
school year for sub paras. Maybe having open
market show us vacancys that open up to apply
for at the start of mid year instead of
waiting till April (I'm not even sure if as a
sub para I can use open market)

It just sucks that you first thought you'll
get a position cause it's a vacancy and find
out you never fit the qualifications of the
    position to begin with.
