I am certified in NJ where I worked as a teacher until 2010. I am
trying to get certified in California. One of the things that is required
(since I'm applying as an out of state applicant) is copies of my
teacher evaluations. I've been out of the classroom for many years.
All of the paper copies of any evaluations I had are long gone. None
of the administrators are at the schools where I taught in NJ due to
retirement or leaving and I doubt the district office keeps paper
copies of my evaluations.
I emailed the commissioner of education in California asking about
this. Has anyone else gotten certified in CA and ran into this where
they're being asked to present copies of teacher evaluations (that
can't be obtained any longer)?
