I am due in March and wanted to know if any of you had
any information about the longest amount of time I can be
out on maternity leave without jeopardizing my job at my
current school?
The 12 weeks for the FMLA will take me to the beginning
of June most likely. I know there is a grace period I can
apply for that lasts 30 days, but does that also cover
the amount of time my position is secured at my current
school? I do not want to be placed into the ATR.
Any thoughts? I'm still waiting to hear back from my
district rep. I've searched and can't seem to find a
concrete answer to this question (grace period included
or not included)
