Dear RL,
I hope I can help you develop a love for teaching reading. I
developed a reading web site for neophytes working with the
primary students long before CC entered
the scene. You can ignore the links in the box to the left
except the first one:“Common Core S Standards.” That
addresses the problems of Common Core's philosophy and
methodology.
My web site covers practically everything about literacy for
the primary children. The NYLearning Standards were my
guide - not CC’s.
If you have any questions; can’t find information you are
looking for; or have suggestions please contact me. It is a
huge site and I am for ever monitoring and editing
it. There are links within links - any line or word in blue or
another color is most likely a link. To get back to the page
you were on just go to the top of the page and
click on Homepage.
If the following link doesn’t take you to the site just go to
Google and type in Mary DeFalco Primary Reading.
file:///Users/marydefalco/Sites/A2Hosting/reading__langua
ge_arts_primary_teachers_2/reading__language_arts_primary
_teachers_2/Reading_Primary_Teachers.html
Wishing you great success with your literacy courses,
Mary DeFalco
