You dont "lose" certification anymore (only under rare
circumstances does Texas vacate a certification), if you
dont renew your certificate it becomes inactive. You can
apply at anytime for renewal. Log in to TEAL, apply for
renewal, and you have a 99% probability of not having to
provide any PD documentation.
