I am in desperate need to hear some tips of how fellow teachers manage their
time so that the job does not take over the enjoyment of life. I am in my 4th year
teaching and it still seems I am struggling to manage my time effectively. I work
so hard b/c I am overwhelmed with the amount of content to teach and a split
grade. It just seems to take me longer than others to come up with ideas for
lessons. I work non-stop...literally only take time out to eat dinner. The
weekends are also spent thinking about work or trying to keep on top of it.
I am by no surprise now on stress leave trying to look critically on how I can
change my mentality and work smarter.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Did you find the beginning of
your career to sound like this too?
