Change requires action. You cannot realistically expect to sit
back and see things change unless you take action. While at

Albany, guess who were the overwhelmingly majority to
represent and fight for what they wanted - Charter Schools.
There is a very small minority of public school teachers that
support the fight. I've seen many UFT representatives at these
hearings, but not many public school teachers.

Recently, I went to a District hearing in which teachers in my
school knew well in advance as well as committed to their
presence. Only 5 of us were in attendance at the meeting.

Change doesn't happen by just voicing our opinions and beliefs.
It requires action. I am an active participant in the quest of
changing this system. I'm involved, proactive, and vested.
Please join the cause because there is strength in numbers.
